I offer transparent, flat-rate fees for all consultations. Your session includes time for preparation, research, and follow-up where needed.
Consultation Fees
- Initial Consultation – R1,500 (± 1 hour)
A comprehensive session where we explore your personal and family history, discuss relevant testing options, and answer your questions. - Follow-Up Appointment – R800 (± 30 minutes)
A shorter session, typically used to review test results or discuss updates to your family or medical history. - Family Consultation Benefit – R1,200 (± 1 hour)
If a close family member (such as a parent, sibling, or child) has already had an initial consultation with me, you’ll receive a reduced rate for your own first session. This reflects the overlap in family history information and ensures care remains accessible to families.
Payment & Medical Aid
All sessions must be paid in full before the appointment. Payment is accepted via EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer). You’ll receive a statement after your session that you can submit to your medical aid for potential reimbursement. Please note that coverage varies, so it’s a good idea to confirm coverage with your medical aid beforehand.
If you plan to claim, the following billing codes are commonly used:

Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice or missed appointments may be charged the full consultation fee. This allows me to offer your slot to someone else who may be waiting.
